Plant Safety Symposium 2011:Report and Presentations | |
A crowd of more than 100 attendees at the two-day expert summit at the Technical Museum of Vienna underlined that accident prevention at process plants had top priority.
The TUV AUSTRIA Plant Safety Symposium, which was held from May 26th - May 27th 2011, boasted impressive expert talks and presentations on plant safety that gave the broad audience insights into modern methods, application and interpretation of regulation requirements, as well as past losses.
The first day of th event was dedicated to both major subject areas of plant safety, industrial accidents (including law, technology, experiences and consequences) and modern risk analysis in all its various forms and aspects.
Functional safety and innovations in the field of explosion protection came to the forefront on day two of the TUV AUSTRIA Plant Safety Symposium 2011, which also covered the current state of technology.
The organisers of the successful event, the ever reliable and capable team of TUV AUSTRIA Academy, had a special treat in store for its guests: a splendid visit to a genuine Viennese "Heuriger", a traditional tavern specialised in wines made from the current year's grape harvest, to close the exciting first day with aplomb. While the culinary delights were bountiful, the evening also furthered the exchange of valuable experiences among attendees and presenters. Designers, builders and operators of plants, and members of authorities and inspection bodies alike seized this opportunity to make crucial new contacts in their respective fields.
