TÜV AUSTRIA certifies the “Haus des Meeres - Aqua Terra Zoo Wien” according to ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and according to TÜV AUSTRIA Cert standard “Fire protection management systems”.
The former bunker (antiaircraft) of World War II houses 6,000 animals in nine storeys plus two additions on the outer façade. In 2008 more than 336,000 visitors came to visit the oceanic attractions.

Who welcomes so many guests must make sure that his quality and safety policy rests on sound foundations. For this reason the “Haus des Meeres - Aqua Terra Zoo Wien” has had a TÜV certification according to ISO 9001and OHSAS 18001 for many years. After these experiences the management also applied for the new fire protection management certificate.
