In Austria pressure equipment subject to statutory testing prior to operation requires an arithmetical type test by an Austrian approval body. TÜV Austria is such an accredited body. The arithmetical type test contains an inspection of the construction, the intended materials, the welding additives, the plans for manufacture and testing as well as the side thickness.
