The highly qualified employees of TÜV Austria's division for cableway technology play a major role in making the cableways meet our guests' requirements and fulfilling the safety-technical standard demanded by the authorities. Consequently, we guarantee safe operation as well as pleasant and easy transportation.

Cableway Inspection:

acceptance and maintenance tests of aerial passenger ropeways, tow lifts and material lifts ordered by cableway operators, manufacturers or by the authorities (tests according to the Austrian Cableway Testing Regulation SeilbÜV, 1995)

Component Tests:

tests of cableway components based on national or international directives and standards, type tests of safety components
electromagnetic rope tests by means of permanent magnetic detectors and fuzzylogic data processing
measuring of braking forces of track cable brakes and rail grip brakes
crack tests of installed drive shafts subject to bending with additional calculation of the residual life cycle
surface crack tests, metallurgical examinations and wall-thickness examinations of rope grips, grip devices, hangers and other ropeway components
