The certification is in many fields a essential requirement for the choice of business partners especially when basic quality criteria for the needed field of activities are required and have to be involved in the partnership e.g. ISO 9000). The examination and certification is carried out on an impartial and independent basis according to acknowledged criteria by a non-party accredited certification body, TÜV Austria. The quality criteria especially designed for fitness centres are also accepted and proved in several countries (Germany, Switzerland etc.).

The certificate shows the clients of the studio that the certified studio offers state of the art safety, health, care and infrastructure. Following a brief description of the certification procedure. Detailed information will be handed over on request.

1. First check by means of standardized questionnaire analyses.

To avoid unnecessary cost the ability of the studio to become certified will be checked by questionnaire filled in by the fitness centre at the time being. The questionnaire covers quality criteria for the certification. It shall be filled in as completely as possible and sent back to TÜV Austria. The analyses and assessment of the questionnaire will be carried out immediately after payment of the fee for the first check. The customer will be informed about the result, correction measures if necessary and the permission for the main examination.

2. Main examination

The main examination covers an examination of the studio on site on basis of the first check. A positive result of the examination, if necessary with some correction measures, lead to a certification of the studio. A certificate will be issued.

Certification mark

The certification permits the studio to use the sign "TÜV Austria certified" at letters, advertisement etc. and signalises the studio as a quality studio.

Re-certification

To keep the certification a yearly re-certification procedure is necessary. The coverage of this re-certification will be agreed during the main examination.
