Environmental Protection:Noise emission in the environment by equipment for use outdoors - directive 2000/14/EC | |
Limitation of noise emissions
In July 2000 the directive 2000/14/EC (noise emission in the environment by equipment for use outdoors) became effective. With federal law 249/2001 this directive have been taken over into the Austrian legislation.
The marking of the acoustic noise level is regulated for 57 types (from construction machines to gardening tools). For a part of them the compliance with a limit is demanded. This limit will be aggravated 2006.
Requirements for the distribution of machines on the European market
The directive 2000/14/EC regulates
Types of machines that have to be marked with the acoustic noise level Limits for the acoustic noise level for special types of machines Instructions for measuring the acoustic noise level Marking of the machines Procedure for the supervision and the certification of conformity
|
Possibilities of conformity assessment procedures according to the kind of machine
Suppliers declaration for machines that are not subject to a limit Supervision of the production by a “notified body” Self supervision by a qualified quality management system that has been examined by a „notified body“ Single type test by a „notified body“
