New materials and rapid technological development continously pose new challenges to non-destructive testing techniques. In cooperation with industry and commerce, the TÜV AUSTRIA Material and Welding Technology Division develops tailormade solutions for the testing problems of our clients.
Our employees are trained in and certified according to EN 473 for all currently employed testing techniques.
We go to our clients. At present, TÜV AUSTRIA operates 17 mobile testing labs for accomplishing testing assignments both in Austria and internationally.
TÜV AUSTRIA presently uses the following testing procedures by default:
Radiance test Ultra-sonic test Sonic emissions test Stress and strain test Pressure and tightness tests Pulsation and load switch test Development of testing procedures and system according to client requirements Development and deployment of ‘intelligent test pigs’ to conduct pipeline inspections
