EMC Test of Automotive Components

 

TUV AUSTRIA is entitled to carry out approval tests according to following automotive directives as a "technical service" across Europe

  • 72/245/EEC and 2004/104/EC for vehicles and parts

  • 97/24/EC chap. 8 for motor-bikes and independent technical units

These services are specially designed for suppliers of automotive industry. The first image shows EMC-measurements in progress as a motor cycle has its engine running inside a TÜV AUSTRIA absorber hall. The second image reveals how measurements and tests are being performed on electronic components for assembly in vehicles e.g. electronic alarm devices.
