Transport of dangerous goods

This sector is of major importance due to increasing transport quantities and the mostly very servere danger to mankind and environment resulting from the transport of dangerouse goods.

TÜV Austria's employees examine vehicles carrying dangerous goods according to EU regulations and the European agreement on international transport of dangerous goods on roads (ADR). Additionally we give professional advice in all questions in connection with transport and relevant equipment. Approval certificates necessary for first approvals prior to operation are issued. Last not least this institute provides basic and further training for drivers carrying dangerous goods.

In addition to the condition and equipment of vehicles carrying dangerous goods the used transport packing is of primary significance. TÜV Austria is a testing and approval body for packing of dangerous goods and large packing units. Packing that has been certified and approved by TÜV Austria can be used world-wide for transport dangerous goods.

leakage tests of vehicle tanks according to the regulations of ADR
leakage tests and inspections of big containers (IBC)
