TUV Austria is "accredited testing body for lifts" and as "notified body" registered within the EU. Certificates and attestations issued by TUV Austria are accepted Europe wide. Active participation in international boards testify to the maximum competence of TUV Austria.

Additionally a number of authorizations as accredited testing body exist. These are particularly relevant during the operation of a plant as e.g. noise insulation, measurement of interference voltage, measurement of weight and driving power, ultrasonic test of power unit shafts and many more.
In the last time evaluations of quality management systems of the erecting and manufacturing companies respectively, according to the modular concept of the EC lift directive, implemented by the Austrian "Aufzüge-Sicherheitsverordnung ASV 96", are carried out. By the evaluation of the internal quality management systems which will be carried out during the first phase of the production and erection respectively the compliance of the respective regulations, directives and standards is guaranteed.
